The new temporary station buildings & footbridge, which are located at the Belfast end of the station car park, are now operational.

Customers are advised to allow an extra 3 to 4 minutes walking time due to this relocation. The original Obins St entrance is also closed and a new access staircase & walkway is currently in operation.
Park and Ride
During the construction of the temporary passenger facilities the current Park & Ride facility will be unavailable for a period of around 6 weeks. Alternative car parking is available in the overflow car park and beside Haldane & Fisher, Castle Street.
Please ensure you allow and extra 10-15 minutes to park and walk to the station to catch your train.
When the temporary facility is in passenger use, there will be some limited parking available in the current Park & Ride facility.
Noise – we will keep to a minimum
Work and deliveries are planned to take place during sociable hours. However, for safety reasons some works will need to be carried out at night. We will work hard to keep any noise disruption to a minimum and have set up a resident’s helpline with our contractor; should any of our local neighbours have concerns regarding this work.
Safety
We would like to ask all parents and carers to remind young people that the railway track and engineering sites are dangerous and should not be considered a playground.Under no circumstances should anyone trespass on railway property.
This work will transform the current facilities into an attractive and fully accessible rail station fit for today’s busy lifestyle and growing numbers of passengers now choosing to travel by train.
We would ask for the patience and support from our passengers and the wider community.
