Take Luas to St. Patrick’s Festival 14-17 Mar

Luas is delighted to be supporting St. Patrick’s Festival as an official sponsor once again this year! Events for the 2015 festival take place over 4 days from Saturday 14th – Tuesday 17th March and promise to be the best yet!

Kick start this year’s Festival celebrations on 14th March & take a walking tour of Dublin to see many of Dublin’s most notable places like Christ Church and St Patrick’s Cathedrals. This walking tour of the nation’s capital is led by leading Dublin historian Pat Liddy. You might also like to visit the Irish Beer and Whiskey Festival in the RDS or enjoy ‘The Greening’ of the city from 4pm where some of Dublin’s land mark sites will be lit up by green night lights.

For the more energetic festival goers, take part in the annual Festival 5K Road Race. Starting at noon on Sunday 15th March, there’s sure to be a lively atmosphere as street performers, face painters and musicians will be on hand to entertain, and spectators line the route to cheer you on.

‘Celebrate Now’, the theme for the 2015 Festival Parade will be animated by Ireland’s leading pageant companies, their fantastical creations and thrilling performances inspired by the past will enthral and excite. Amidst the colourful pageantry, bands from the USA, Germany, Estonia and Ireland will deliver uplifting scores and rousing beats. The Festival Parade kicks off at 12noon.
