Wow, that's a really good offer, thanks for pointing it out. Might be able to heat the house this winter after all!

Do you know whether this is a once-off, or a trial for something that may become permanent?

Unknown, has run before on a limited scale restricted to certain stations.

It is something we have raised with Irish Rail in the past, so its good to see something good to come out of that discussion.

They don't really seem to be publicising it very well though. If they were interested in pushing it, there would be ads up in the stations. I've told two other people who commute from my station and they hadn't heard of it.

Every taxsaver administrator in the country got the notice.

As this applies to taxsaver tickets only, a poster at a station would cause a lot of confusion.

That's as may be but nobody I've spoken to has heard anything about it.

Isn't that surely down to individual company's HR departments rather than IE?

It may be but IR are the ones trying to sell it, not my HR department.

I got it as I subscribe to the taxsaver newsletter, its also shown on the taxsaver site.

Its a difficult one as a notice at stations would likely lead to serious confusion
