![]() Yes those wonderfully wise folks in Irish Rail scored yet another own goal tonight
Every single ticket vending machine is disabled, forcing everyone to queue in the booking hall. Apparently this was to control overcrowding Two points spring to mind A) Irish Rail have no clue as to the number of return/monthly/annual/contract ticket holders who will show up, so its all rather pointless really B) They played the head in sand game by not telling anyone in advance that restrictions would be in place What ever happened to the old control cards and first come first served?

![]() I don't s'pose there's much point in asking what in heavens name Irish Rail expected to accomplish in the firstplace? What you describe sounds like a way to delay everyone and make 'crowd control' worse.
