Letter in Metro Newspaper re Ticket Machines
Sorry don't have the full story but here is the jist.....
Commuter tries to get ticket from one of a number of ticket machines every Monday morning. On a regular basis he notices they are out of action. Long queues on ticket desk...asks staff why the machines are out of action every Monday morning...Linked to the machines being full of coins from the weekend, and the staff (not sure if they are IE) that unload these do not work weekends???? Apologies if I have some of this story wrong...Any thoughts??? |

Noticed this as well indeed last night I remarked the same thing to another p11 member while getting a ticket in Pearse station
No idea why, IE tickets require more coins alright as they cost more for the longer distance so that could be it but clearly there is no maintenence cover at weekends |

Sure you'd never expect the boys and girls at IE to get something technical that relates to customer service to work reliably!
