Default Daily/Weekly Capping Finally Arrives on Luas

Finally its here

http://www.luas.ie/introducing-leapcard-capping.html

Down side, its all or nothing it does not respect zones so if you do for example Beechwood St Stephen's Green it will not charge a Green Zone 2 7 day fare of 16.40 it will wait and charge the full all zones weekly fare of 23.50

And its week is Monday to Sunday rather than IÉ's Sunday to Saturday. Not confusing at all, that.

The plan is to sync the week on all operators in order to allow for multi-operator capping

As of 05:30am Leap actually finally has a feature that Oyster does not have, multi day capping

Monday to Sunday possibly makes more sense as there would be very few services at 00.01am Monday, whereas you have the NiteLinks, etc. at 00.01am Sunday.
