portlaoise line - the future?

are there any plans to increase the frequency of trains going to Portlaoise in the future? I need to travel from Hazelhatch to Portlaoise for work and the service is fairly non existent in the am. does anyone know

what are the plans for this line?

nothing in the new timetable (December 07) for Portlaoise AFAWK..... next years (Dec 08) should being something, Santa style.
