Generally only trains from Waterford and Kilkenny are routed via Connolly its a combination of staff knowledge and administration.
Waterford is managed from Connolly, Limerick is managed from Heuston. Connolly is extremely busy on Patricks Day as Tara Street is normally closed

Funnily enough I haven't seen any references to Tara Street being closed on Patrick's Day this year. It was a daft idea anyway.
