![]() You'd normally expect to pay more for a train... it's usually quicker and more comfortable.
Yet comparable single fare journeys I make using Cash / Leap card are cheaper by Dart. Why? |

![]() Leap fares on Irish Rail started out being based on half the return fare so less than two singles add in that there is a sweet spot in that Dublin Bus charge max fare after 13 stages, at that point the Irish Rail fare is cheaper
Obviously there comes a point when this swaps over and Irish Rail is a lot more expensive
