Default The MK4 reality thread

Despite all our guess work and investigations and warnings and expectations and the official launch......these trains are still not in full service.

Its bordering on rediculous at this stage.

Remaining issues appear to be

1. Lack of service ready sets

2. Cork and managements inability to get the finger out and sort out the issues. And maybe be honest with customers about the obvious delay.

Finally, drivers in Cork were held up as the "satans of rail development" last May. The facts have absolved them from outright blame. IE management have an agenda there that is detrimental to driver morale and customer service. The outstanding issues in Cork would appear to have nothing to do with drivers, but IE don't seem to be applying the same type of heavy handed human resources tactics, that they used against drivers reporting for duty and prepared to drive, but asked to drive a train that wasn't actually fit for service.

Personally, Im beginning to reach boiling point. Serious questions need asking and my finger is on the trigger with the Cork independent. The bullet may be heading for management.
