Exclamation Legal Rights of Cross Border Passengers

In light of the disgraceful events in Lurgan on July 12th, it is important to know your rights as a passenger

All cross border journeys are covered by EC regulation 1371/2007 http://www.railusers.ie/resources/eu...onibilites.pdf

A summary of the regulation is available also http://ec.europa.eu/transport/passen...r_rights.pd f

Cross border journeys are also covered by the CIV rules, which were incorporated into the EC regulation http://www.otif.org/pdf_external/e/RU-CIV-1999-e.PDF

Rail Users Ireland is in the process of filing formal complaints in light of the absence of full compliance.
