Bikes to Killarney
I'm hoping to bring my bike on the train in July to do the Ring Of Kerry cycle. The one direct train leaves too late in the day so I need to change at Mallow. I know my bike should be accepted on the Cork service but what about from Mallow to Killarney?

Bikes should be accepted Mallow Killarney, roughly half of all Mallow - Tralee services are operated by a Mk3 set so there is a luggage area. Some of the railcars have bike racks some don't.
Irish Rail say bikes will be carried on this route, but then say only on trains fitted to carry bikes

So the message to tourists is:
Bikes are carried on some trains and not others. So, if you're going cycling in Kerry, please find alternative transport as Irish Rail cannot make up their minds as to whether your business is welcome or not. |

No but can make inquiries
The published timetable states all trains except the early morning Tralee Mallow and the last train of the day Mallow Tralee
