Default Question about Ballina train

Possibly heading down to a friend in Ballina for New Year's.
Just checked the timetable for coming back on 01/01:

Ballina - Manulla Junction
13:00 - 13:26 InterCity

Manulla Junction - Dublin Heuston
13:28 - 16:44

I've two minutes to make a connection. Do I actually have any hope of doing so? Will the Dublin train wait, or am I likely to be stranded in Manulla junction for 3.5 hours? (where is that anyway?)

I've eight minutes for the connection on the way down, which doesn't inspire me with confidence either.

It will, Manura Junction is a closed station, no public access, the Ballina shuttle will be fairly crowded, the Westport train will wait, or more than likely be late.
