Default [30/06/2007 & 01/07/2007] Justin Timberlake in Concert, at the RDS,

Will be interesting to see how IE handle this concert. This is probably one of the biggest of the summer. Dart information already up since early monday but is only on DART website not the Irish rail one. What will happen with commuter services?

As usual ie are useless they haven't a clue how to take advantage of a concert as big as this. No extra commuter services for this concert. For the maynooth line it is the same story. Only extra trains are from Drumcondra for the gaa fans. Last train to maynooth tomorrow night is about half six no suprise there. I have a funny feeling that the 23.10 pearse-maynooth and the 23.20 connolly-dundalk will be deferred again

Strange indeed Thomas.
Even stranger when you consider how Bus Atha Cliath have made a speciality out of catering for the Big Events.

If you look at the Marley Park shuttles,The Slane,Malahide and Oxygen concerts and assorted others one can see BAC having done their sums as to the returns from catering for the masses, especially the youth market who appear to be well provided for financially.

I totally agree that Commuter Rail`s concept of a special event is that it aint "Special" unless it`s in Croke Park.
Again I see great potential in DrumCondra Station as an interchange point for Concert goers to transfer to dedicated Buses running between there and the RDS or Marley r where ever......Rocket Science..???

There is a train to drogheda at 23.00 from connolly as well as the 23.20 connolly to dundalk. For everyone else including maynooth line passengers last bus tonight is half eleven no nitelink. Lets hope for those who are lucky enough to be able to get a train tonight that ie handle it a bit better than last night. Last night was a mess. Shame on ie.
