Default [22-11-2006] Maynooth line

Total service suspension due to yet another signalling failure at Clonsilla well thats what the IE site says

Quote:
Maynooth line delay by Press Office

22-11-06 1420hrs Maynooth services currently suspended: signal fault Clonsilla
Isn't it great to have a date and time on the notices? At least IE learned the lesson, still crap compared to translink though

Down on the platform is says delayed

Back moving again, no time given on IE site nor does it state that there will be knock on delays

A friend was on the 2:00 to Sligo, sat just outside Connolly for over an hour, was 1:30 late arriving in Carrick.

50% refund so, it might be a pain but its the only real way that IE will get the message, safety critcal things like signalling should not be breaking Clonsilla is a hot spot for failures

She's got free travel, so although she has a ticket she didn't have to pay for it. I presume IE don't offer any compensation in these cases? (Or do they still refund half the standard single fare )

One of George Hook's guests in a show he was doing yesterday on Newstalk live from Sligo was on the train which was delayed by 90 minutes. He bailed out at Maynooth and linked up from a Dublin studio instead of going on to Sligo. He was live on radio at about 6.30 giving out stink about CIE and the way they always leave you in the lurch.... Well deserved public bollocking. But to what effect?
