Default Kilkenny Station

Is this the only access to Kilkenny station or is another access from the shopping centre?

The structure to the left of the google image gives pedestrian access to the station but is rarely (if ever) used - yet another example of waste. Not sure who has an issue with it being open, it would certainly be convenient for passengers using the station and going to/from the shopping centre. But then passenger convenience is at the top of everybody's list !

It gives passengers access to the trian (both platforms) without being seen by staff and not having a ticket.
