Bloom image Bloom 2013 is taking place in the Phoenix Park Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend, from Thursday 30th May until Monday 3rd June 2013. One of the best ways to get to the event is to take the Luas Red Line to Heuston.
There is a free shuttle bus on Parkgate Street, just around the corner from Heuston stop that will take you straight up to the event. This is the 7th year of the event. Bloom 2012 attracted almost 80,000 visitors to the 70 acre site at the Visitor's Centre in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.
Bloom has something for everyone! Visitors to Bloom will enjoy cookery and craft demonstrations, free gardening advice from the experts, Irish food produce, live entertainment and gardening workshops.
This year, you can expect to see spectacular feature areas accommodating many interests in gardening, food and family entertainment. The Garden Expert Stage hosts a comprehensive range of leading experts in horticulture, gardening and floristry. The Floral features stunning displays and the best of Irish plants and flowers. Families visiting the event will once again be entertained by the highly entertaining, fun and educational Kids Zone and best of all, kids attend Bloom for free! This June Bank Holiday weekend the Dublin Port RiverFest will take place close to Luas Spencer Dock Stop at North Wall Quay on Sat 1st, Sun 2nd & Mon 3rd June. The event boasts great entertainment, family fun as well as the arrival of 5 Tall Ships!
The crew at Dublin Port RiverFest have a huge array of activities planned from 11am – 6pm each day, including curragh racing on the Liffey, boat racing, tug boat demonstrations and much more. Not to be outdone by the water, land activities include street performers, food stalls, music, bars, markets, face-painting and carnival attractions.
Dublin Port RiverFest is organised by the Docklands Business Forum and sponsored by Dublin Port Company. Luas is very proud to be the transport partner for the event. To get to the event, take Luas Red Line to Spencer Dock, or if you are coming from the Luas Green Line, alight at Saint Stephen’s Green + 28 min walk.
