Rail access to Galway has never been easier.

Did you know you can access the city centre of Galway and the Volvo Ocean Race Village by rail? With rail services from Dublin Heuston and Limerick to Ceannt Station Galway, you are less than a five minute walk from the entrance to the Race Village.

To supplement the scheduled services, Iarnród Éireann have undertaken to lay on additional services between Dublin Heuston, Athlone and Ennis to Galway for the duration of Volvo Ocean Race 2012.

Additional services are as follows;

•17.30hrs – Galway to Heuston
•23.05hrs – Galway to Ennis**
•23.15hrs – Galway to Athlone
Sunday's 1st and 8th July

•09.35hrs – Heuston to Galway
•19.30hrs – Galway to Heuston
•23.05hrs – Galway to Ennis**
•23.15 hrs – Galway to Athlone
Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd July

•23.05hrs – Galway to Ennis**
•23.15hrs - Galway to Athlone
