Its a very long way around though, be faster to change to a bus. Generally only used at the start of the day since there is only 1 set based in Dublin so they need to get a further set in motion

The line from Antrim to Lisburn is now only passable with several days notice. It is disconnected from the signaling system and special arrangements have to be made to bring in staff to conduct a train over the line. The majority of translink drivers are no longer permitted to drive over the line as their route knowledge has expired and no Dublin driver would be passed on it.
A train running from Antrim to Dublin via this line would have to run into Lisburn station and out again as the junction at Knockmore was removed in 1977 and in any case faced north the same as that at Lisburn
