In hiding I think - no where to be found. It was unusually lacking a train host. None of the recent cork-dublin / dublin-cork trips I have taken have been quite as unsupervised. It felt like the 'old days'.

The restaurant guy tried to do something, but couldn't figure it out.

Sounded to me more like they'd turned the volume up way too loud and one of the mics / phone handsets was off the hook somewhere. It's human error I'd say rather than equipment being dodgy. They never ever get the PAs right. They turn the volume up ridiculously loud in almost all instances.

The PAs on the MK3s work fine too when used correctly! They were usually so quiet you couldn't hear anything or deafeningly loud with screeching feedback.

The PA should be set and no one really should need to tweak the levels. It's ridiculous.
