Victor,I have little doubt but a very comprehensive investigation will be launched by these worthy bodies in the AFTERMATH of the inevitable serious accident at Drumcondra/Clonliffe junction.

What is of far greater Immediate concern to me is the startling absence of any cohesive crowd and traffic control structure amongst the Gardai on duty.

Four items require IMMEDIATE attention.

1. Dedicated increased Bus Stop space for both Arriving and Departing the location.
2.The elimination of pedestrian/traffic conflict as far as practicable particularly at Quinns Pub/Drumcondra Station.
3.The elimination of Car Park access from the Drumcondra Road into Clonliffe College Car Park
4.A complete reassesment and Professional Safety Audit of the arrangements at Clonliffe Road/Drumcondra with particular emphasis on conflict and ambiguity between Garda signals and the Traffic Signalling which remains switched on.

I would further suggest that these Four items require comprehensive reassessment BEFORE the next large scale fixture in Croke Park takes place.

Or shall we simply wait Until the inevitable occurs..???
