DART suspended Dalkey to Greystones by Corporate Communications

4th February 2007 - 18.50hrs

Due to an overhead power fault at Killiney, DART services are currently suspended between Dalkey and Greystones.

Rail tickets can be used on Dublin Bus services.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused. There is significant damage to overhead lines, and disruption is expected to continue for the remainder of the evening.
I was on the 1750 Rosslare train (got on at Wicklow at quarter to eight) which was slightly delayed as a result (and we stopped at DART stations between Bray and Dún Laoghaire, where normally it wouldn't). The story given to us was overhead wires (although the delays were slight and it was explained properly at all times). It seemed as if DARTs were running (but delayed) in both directions by then.
