IR's price structuring is more like Ryanair's and their customer service is actually quite good. I am going to stick with them. And Bus Eireann. And Dublin Bus.

Knowing a limited amount about IE's operations, it is hard for me to see where 450 staff could be made redundant. Not excluding the smoking geezers at Maynooth of course.

Drivers' bags

I am a big fan of the bags that IE drivers are given as standard issue. Big square, large rivets, shoulder strap. Does anyone know anything about them or about how I might get my hands on one?

Canalside trees

Many of the trees alongside the royal canal and Maynooth commuter line between Clonsilla and Leixlip have been cut down. Is IR responsible for this or Waterways Ireland?
