Annual Pass and 90 Bus
 

Hi,

I get the train from Hazelhatch currently and the standard day return includes the 90 bus.
I've applied for an annual pass in work and wondering will this continue to include the 90 transfer.
I can't find reference to it anywhere.

Day returns issued to 'Dublin City Centre' include the bus add on, ones to Heuston do not

Unless you have specifically asked for a Rail + Bus annual ticket (the €980 one) it is not valid on the 90/91/92. The normal Rail only Dublin area ticket is not valid

Only the Bus + Rail + Luas ticket at €1,450 is valid on all

The website is quite clear as to what each are valid for http://www.taxsaver.ie/ie/tickets.asp there is no ambiguity

Should be noted the annual ticket is valid all services within the semi circle formed by Hazelhatch/Maynooth/Kilcoole/Balbriggan

Just to clarify - the supplement to "City Centre" (as opposed to Heuston) is valid on both the Luas (between Heuston and Connolly only) and the Dublin Bus 90/91/92 service only.

The 3-way tickets allow unlimited travel on all three modes between the designated area (from Hazelhatch inwards on this line).

Yes they are, I've had no problems using them on many an occasion.

Incidentally I thought they issued to Dublin.Bus90.Luas now?

My annual ticket with the city centre add-on only states LUAS/90/91 services, no mention of the 92.

Dublin Bus don't even operate a 91 bus according to there website

As far as we know any rail ticket endorsed Dublin City Centre, Dublin.Bus90.Luas, Heuston Bus Stop, I.F.S is valid on all 9X number buses, should even work in the 93 as well, if you can find it

Only those endorsed Dublin.Bus90.Luas and IFS are good on the Luas as well.

The 91 service is a footnote to the 90 service

"Route 91 - To and from City Centre and Heuston Station only. This service operates in conjuction with train arrivals and departures from Heuston Station."

It seems like the 91 operates as an on-demand service.

I think you might be understanding things wrong, don't forget the 92 is a different fare to the 90/91 (1.50 for the 92, 1.30 for the 90/91).

I haven't tried my ticket on a 92 bus yet.

OK, I've looked again and I don't see any reason why you can't use a city centre add on to get the 92 as far as the end of the quays. I don't believe it would be valid until the end of the route (Stephens Green/Leeson St) which I guess is the point they are trying to get across by not mentioning the 92 bus on the ticket.

Fare on the 92 is the same as the 90 if you are only going to O'Connell Bridge

I've even had the driver double check the ticket once and he was happy and I went the whole way round to TCD

i have used it on the 92 and gone to Stephen's Green.

I use mine daily on the 92 and 46E to Nassau street and never had any strange looks from the drivers.

Route 92 is meant as a Luas Link (between Red and Green) as well as a Rail Link. The higher €1.50 fare only applies to St Stephen's Green East to / Leeson Street Bridge users, Luas Green line users would get off at Kildare Street.

Route 93 has been withdrawn. Only Route 151 serves Docklands station now, but the service seems to have matured. Route 90 is around the corner and up the road for Docklands.
