Lockers

I've travelled around Europe/us and have always found lockers in most major stations, however in Ireland apart from Connolly there's none, why?

Bet you ten euro that it's "security".

Try the British railway stations, a lot of them don't even have rubbish bins....

They have them in Hueston but people are not allowed to use them on their own, they have to be operated by a member of staff. Meaninging they are only available from 10am onwards.

Kind of off topic - I once left my bag in a locker in a station in Germany, closed it, was briefly distracted, and ended up paying for and taking the key from the locker next to it. Came back a few hours later to open what I thought was my locker, only to find it empty. Briefly panicked until I realized what I'd done, and tried the unlocked (original) locker, to find my stuff untouched after being unprotected for an afternoon.
