confusing conolly display 16.50 to belfast

As usual with customer service in Connolly, people were in the queue for Platform 2 awaiting the arrival for the train. The Q seemed particularly quiet and no sign of the arriving train by 16.35 prompted me to go look at the signs to see if there was any mention of a delay! The sign stated that the 16.50 train was leaving from platform 4 and noted passengers of the change in boarding area. There was a train on the platform but not an enterprise. I asked one of the IE personelwhy nobody on the q was told of the platform change. It turned out that there was no change, the Enterprise was delayed and was arriving at platform 2. They must have informed other passengers on the other train as 5 minutes later the q on platform 2 trebled. The Enterprise arrived at approx 16.37 and we left Connolly at 16.52. Looks like IE have a bit to go on platform announcements!

In fairness this is hardly unusual although I have never known the enterprise to go from other than platform 2. I'm sure you were never told why it was delayed in the first place though.
