Dundalk Commuter - 29k or ICR
With the exception of the Enterprise services which use their own stock, is there any way to know whether a given Dundalk service will likely be operated by an ICR or a 29k?
Are there a list of which trains should be used for which departures, and it's only deviated from if there's an issue of some sort? Or will it be completely dependent on what's available on the day? |
Apart from the Enterprise almost all of the limited Dundalk commuter service is operated by 29000 railcars, the only exception being the 0630 from Newry to Dublin and the 2335 from Pearse which are formed by 7-car ICRs.

Its a guaranteed connection.
Its likely to be a 29000 |
23.35 is now a direct 7 days a week, this commenced 24 of Sep (Mon-Thur were added)
They have not updated PDFs and one assumes station timetables. |
22.45 Connolly-Dundalk (supposedly). Destination boards saying Drogheda. Departure from plat. 3, but no info whatsoever on large display board in concourse. Well done, guys. Only costing me 3,600 p.a. There is a reason for Matthews' buses, growing more attractive every day.

And yet again the train info board at platform 1 at Pearse showing no information at all for the 23.40 to Dundalk. Ok, I know it's going but what level of carelessness do these people operate at? And all the BS about customer service. There is a reason for Irish jokes.
