Safety Issue at Heuston Station
 

I have just arrived on the 07 15 am train from Portlaoise, the train pulled in at Platform 2, however as passengers are unloading there is a chap doing electrical work at a height, he is on a hoist at eaves level. This is a Health & Safety issue as passengers are walking underneath. Under Health & Safety Legislation this work area should be cordoned off, a pliers dropped from this height could cause a very serious injury.

Last night in the peak of the rush hour the guy was walking up and down with the floor cleaning yoke which leaves the floor nice and damp

No notices up for wet floor which covered a huge area of Heuston

I think that in other industries it would be considered a safety hazard that a train arrives at a platform (e.g 7/8) and another train is due to leave from the adjoining platform. You have a large crowd getting off one train and some frantic passengers running to get on the other. You also get a training moving quite close to a crowded platform.

But then safety is in my job description (like homer simpson!):D
