All services suspended out of Waterford due to second landslide at the station. Platforms closed as rocks have damaged rails and further landslide possible.

Likely to continue for some time
Main platform is blocked by a large rock fall The two terminal platforms are available but are not being used |
Given the location I expect all access to the signal cabin is stopped for safety reasons as it happened right next to it.

To add to the problems the station is now partly flooded, not to bad yet but water just over the rail heads.
|
On a local radio station it just mentioned that the road at Newrath is flooded (there's a level crossing there - a short distance beyond which the Dublin and Clonmel lines separate).
Hopefully the flooding at the station won't be anything like what it was some time ago when it reached platform level. |

Bus transfers continuing as flood water receding slower than expected. Expected to open lather today provided high tides don't stop that.
