[3-10-2006] Northside all services

Appears we have a suicde or someone struck by accident by a train at Raheny

As usual total over the top reaction by suspending Howth Howth Junction and Malahide

I was on board a train and for the second time in 2 weeks the destination changed en route no PA was made on board to indicate a problem

Services are operating to Killester despite Connolly being stated in the notice. Its great to see IE don't even know where its trains are going

Quote:

DART and Commuter services suspended Howth/Malahide to Connolly by Corporate Communications

Due to an incident outside of our control at Raheny, DART and Commuter services are currently suspended between Howth/Malahide and Connolly.

The line will remain closed while emergency services attend the scene.

Dublin Bus will honour rail tickets for customers travelling to stations on the route.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
But of course the online gadget still has the normal timetable up as if there was nothing wrong, the platform displays are however displaying Killester

Despite the notice DART services Howth Howth Junction are running and thats from IE themselves

Yet another waste, pointless notice, wrong information, no timestamp, no advice on which bus to get and from where

So its reopened

Note for the first time the specific times are given

Quote:

DART and Commuter services resume on Northside by Corporate Communications

DART and Commuter services have resumed between Howth/Malahide and Connolly following an earlier incident outside our control.

The line was closed while emergency services attend the scene, between 10.15hrs and 11.00hrs

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience which was caused.

All times are GMT. The time now is 19:55.
