Real Time Information during the snow

during the recent cold snap, Dart trains were regularly running up to 30 minutes late with Commuter trains often even later and there were frequent platform changes etc as Irish Rail tried to keep the service running.

The displays on the platforms, while not entirely accurate, generally managed to give a vague idea of what was going on, but the online real-time information was completely inaccurate, and the computer screens dotted around Connolly were just as bad (showing cancelled trains still running, wrong platforms etc).

So the question is, why are these not all running off the same system, and why did they not turn the computer screens off in Connolly - I saw numerous people studying them and heading for platforms based on the information displayed when the platform displays were showing contradictory (more accurate) information. Even when the schedule is not all screwed up by weather, the clocks on the platform displays, the computer screens, and the big board in Connolly are never in sync.

(you could argue that not having the clocks in sync encapsulates IE's entire timekeeping philosophy)

Hmmm, I though that they had been working on that.
