Special Trains in connection with the Westlife Concert at Croke Park by Corporate Communications

In connection with the Westlife Concert at Croke Park on Saturday 5th June, the following special trains will operate:

Saturday 5th June

23.45 Dublin Connolly to Maynooth

Sunday 6th June

00.05 Dublin Connolly to Maynooth

00.15 Dublin Connolly to Dundalk

ThomasJ 04-06-2010 08:07

these seem to have been axed see the updated notice on the irish rail website

Mark Gleeson 04-06-2010 08:33

It reads as no extra trains on any route

The online timetable has no extra trains shown

Thomas Ralph 04-06-2010 08:39

The 2355 to Dundalk is extra, no?

Mark Gleeson 04-06-2010 08:42

No extra DART services

23:55 to Dundalk seems to be there.

I would guess the overtime ban means no staff to man the gates on the Maynooth line

ThomasJ 04-06-2010 09:05

that is a complete joke

Last nights 23:10 pearse maynooth was held in ashtown for a few minutes because staff manning the gates didnt know the train was there. Someone had to knock on the door of the cabin.

The sooner the whole level crossing situation on the maynooth line is sorted the better!

This happened again this afternoon. The train driver had to hoot his horn on at least three occasions before the gates were lifted.
