Ticket Checking at terminal

Are trains other than from Sallins/Naas being subjected to the Ticket Police at the final station, with the consequent delays, aggro, hassle and all round messin about? Or is it just us?

All city centre stations are subject to ticket inspections

All passengers arriving Connolly except those on Enterprise services (onboard ticket check) at Connolly must pass through the ticket barriers which require a valid ticket. Same applies Docklands, Tara Street, Grand Canal Dock and Lansdowne Rd. Queues have decreased since the automated checking went in except at Grand Canal Dock. There is a two man, two gate inspection routine at Pearse and thats been in place for decades, the heavy mob visit from time to time, and the queue moves faster when they are in. Since the automated gates went in ticket revenues leaped by 15% clearly indicating that there had been a problem

There is a fare evasion problem on the Kildare line since checks have never been routine, various reports indicate that a significant number of passengers have been found without valid tickets. Bear in mind the legal majority are paying for the free loaders and it is in the interest of all to eliminate fare evaders.

The queue moves faster the more people with valid tickets there are

If there is anyone out there who feels that have been treated unfairly by the inspectors please let us know, regardless of the rights and wrongs you have the right to be dealt with in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
