Maybe it doesn't actually leave at the stated time, but at some indeterminate time soon after that? could there be extra load/dwell times cos of how busy the train is likely to be?

More likely they botched the software, or probably trying to hide the fact it arrives late more often than not

'Train will depart when mostly full and only the drunken layabouts are left in the pubs'.

As this is a sport special, will ordinary tickets be honoured or are seats strictly reserved? Often on sports days the website says sold out for ordinary trains only for there to be seats available. Whats the protocol?

The irish rail site is saying extra trains from Maynooth tomorrow for the game.

Any ideas on the times?

You buy a special ticket at the staion. I posted a few years back about my experiances on match specials
