All inclusive travel to Lansdowne Road with late night special services from Dublin Connolly to Cork, Galway and Limerick after the match.

The Rep. of Ireland will play Serbia in a friendly soccer international on Wednesday 5th March at the Aviva Stadium, K.O. 19:45hrs.

Iarnród Éireann are delighted to announce late night services after the match for supporters travelling home from Lansdowne Road to Cork, Galway and Limerick.

We are also offering excellent value return fares from €30 for supporters travelling from Galway/Limerick and from €40 for supporters travelling from Cork, just click 'Buy Now' below.

Supporters who purchase these rail tickets can avail of the feeder bus/luas service from Dublin Heuston to Dublin Connolly and the DART to Lansdowne Road before the match.

After the match supporters can take the DART from Lansdowne Road back into Dublin Connolly where the late night specials will depart from as follows;

•22:30 Dublin Connolly - Cork/Limerick serving Limerick Jct. (with connection to Limerick), Charleville, Mallow and Cork

•22:35 Dublin Connolly - Galway serving Tullamore, Athlone, Ballinasloe, Athenry, and Galway

DARTs will depart Lansdowne Road to Connolly every couple of minutes after the match. Supporters must ensure that they are back in Dublin Connolly in time for the above departures.

They are trying to make demand for these as they had to cancel the last few services because of low demand. Hopefully this will work for them, it's a very good offer as all transport is included.

It's probably a straightforward calaculation.

Would the number of passengers to Cork and Limerick lost because of the extra time be outweighed by the number who used those services in those stations.

The only marginal surprise is that it would stop in Charleville rather than Thurles or Port Laoise. You'd expect those towns to provide more passengers.

Charleville is like the Shannon stopover, everything has to stop there.

Would imagine its for capacity and cost management, expect they want to keep it to a 3 piece operation. (190 people)
