Alternative Travel Between Drogheda and Dublin

Can anyone recommend if Matthews Coach or Bus Eireann are better for getting to Dublin if the train tracks are still in a bad way tommorrow?

Got the Bus Eireann 100x Drog-Dub on Fri, it took 1hr30 mins to O'connell street.
Does anyone know if the matthews service has a shorter journey time?

Just wondering how people are planning to get to work just in case!

IE had replaced all the track by Saturday afternoon so things are looking good for tomorrow, though expect slight delays to trains which don't stop in Skerries in particular.

Northbound trains should run just fine, except for the evening Rosslare Drogheda train which gets overtaken between Skerries and Balbriggan since the points won't be repaired in time it appears

Matthews don't use the Port Tunnel as they list Drumcondra as a stop. If there are no trains tomorrow it won't make much of a difference who you take

trains are back ( allegedly)

Irish Rail say trains are back tomorrow.

NORTHERN LINE & BELFAST LINE: FULL SERVICE TO OPERATE MONDAY 14TH JANUARY by Corporate Communications

Update: Sunday 13th January 2008 - 19.45hrs

Iarnród Éireann advises customers that full services will operate on the Northern line commuter service and on the Dublin-Belfast service on Monday 14th January, following disruption caused by Thursday evening's derailment of a freight train near Skerries.

All scheduled services will operate, although slight delays (estimated 5 minutes) may result, as there is a 25mph speed restriction in the immediate vicinity of the area of the derailment.

Dublin-Drogheda/Dundalk commuter services remain suspended this evening (Sunday 13th January).

Hopefully it's only 5 mins as not in the mood to get the first train out of Drog!
