Trains on a bank holiday

I'll be running the Dublin City Marathon on Oct 31st and am thinking of getting the train up that morning to save my wife coming up that early.

Its a bank holiday Monday so i am wondering what trains will be running.

I will be going from Portarlington to Heuston. I put the date into the Irish Rail website and it came back with the normal Monday service but i am wondering is it just seeing it as a Monday or are those trains actually running

Generally all long distance services run on weekday timetable into Heuston on Bank Holidays

Services from Portloaise/Athlone/Kildare run a revised Sunday service

You'd think if Galway could justify an 0805 on Sunday Cork could justify an 0730 with a 22K set and an arrival just after 10. Would earlier services cause work zone issues or is it just lack of ambition?

The first train out of Cork on a bank holiday is 6:15am, gets in to Dublin for 8:45

Try doing the same for Monasterevin. We have NO stopping services at all on a Sunday. Shocking (as ever).
