If you held a valid weekly, monthly or annual ticket on Nov 1 and/or 7 you are entitled to a refund for days of no service

For Dublin SHZ its €4 per day

It was €40 for Dublin Bus, and I think that was 4 full days and 2 part days of strike action.

€4 a day certainly does not recover actual costs paid for alternative means of transport.

I suspect Dublin Bus refund was aimed at being sufficent to cover an alternative form of transport. But odd that the 2 companies appear to have paid out on a different basis.

Envelope containing vouchers suggests it was processed by Capita, so wouldn't surprise me at all if their processing charge matches or exceeds actual refund.

And more administration costs involved in whole voucher production, redemption and postage.
