worth noting maynooth services will be generally hourly, last train 20:43 ex pearse. a bit better.

also on weekdays from january a 19:29 pearse-maynooth service

looks like maynooth is getting a few extra services from january 2008 :)

New Station in Rosslare thats a new one on me,I thought they were refurbishing the station so the line looks secure and not closing behond Gorey. Thats June for the Rosslare services to be upgraded fully. The Arklow-Rosslare-Limerick service will there be much people going for this service, I know its not my matter but will there? The 17:25 Connolly/Enniscorthy service will the announcements at the platform5 be "The train now standing at Platform5 is the 17:25 COMMUTER (Had to get that in) SERVICE to Rosslare Europort, Please change at Enniscorthy for Wexford,Rosslare Strand and Rosslare Europort

Mark one of the things i noticed is that a few of the current docklands trains will now go to connolly with one even going to pearse. Looks like the major changes on the maynooth line for both weekdays and the later sunday services will come into effect 21st january 2008

The 19:29 will be a very handy addition.

heard this also. but as well as losing Sallins and Portarlington stops it will stop at Ballybrophy as well. just what i heard...

I thought Iarnrod Eireann were considering introducing at late Connolly/Gorey service.

ThomasJ 15-11-2007 13:17

The 22.45 heuston kildare will depart 23.00 in new timetable

AWOL Train

The 17:40 Rosslare - Drogheda train goes AWOL from the timetable if you put in any station after Wicklow as the destination. Looks like it hasn't been fully programmed into the on-line timetable (it doesn't even work if you put in Drogheda as the destination yet it lists Drogheda as the destination).

it loses Sallins and Portarlington alright. however it will not stop as Ballybrophy as I said (and had heard). pity because Ballybrophy is very badly serviced as it stands. it would be handy for me, 5 mins up the road as opposed to driving into Portlaoise. but it will stop at portlaoise, mono and kildare.

the 06:30am service departing from Portlaoise is definately running, arriving into Heuston at 07:40am, check the online timetable.

I noticed this Rosslare/Dublin Connolly then change to the Belfast Enterprise when the 17:40 is a direct train.

Mark Gleeson 16-11-2007 12:02

17:40 is overtaken between Skerries Balbriggan by the Enterprise service leaving Connolly at 20:45

KSW 16-11-2007 12:04

Does the Enterprise travel in the wrong track to do this?

Mark Gleeson 16-11-2007 12:07

The commuter service uses the wrong track from just south of Skerries until just before Ballbriggan, the signalling between Skerries and Ballbriggan was specially designed to allow this

KSW 16-11-2007 14:17

Lucky Enterprise at least that service gets treated like an InterCity Route.

I've just noticed from the new timetable that the 13:05 Dublin/Rosslare service is the quickest by 1hr38mins from all of the 5-trains out of Connolly. Mark I'm asking a bit much of you here, The Dublin/Rosslare in distance is it not the longest by time in all of Ireland to cover the 105miles to Rosslare.
