robodude and the PA announcer almost came to blows on friday!
train was late arriving to the platform and robodude was insisting that it was a platform change (to the same platform!!) while the announcer had to follow up every time and confirm that it was the same platform
eventually he cut robodude off midstream - silly silly IE

The people at Dundalk Station announced this morning that the 8.57 enterprise would be 20 minutes late... it arrived roughly on time about 5 minutes after the announcement! :confused:

Well that train actually did break down after it got to Dublin

On board the 09.17 clonsilla to pearse. Got to drumcondra station. Pis was displaying 1. Pearse but the footnote was stating 1. Calling at connolly, tara st, pearse, grand canal dock, lansdowne road, sydney parade, blackrock, dun laoghaire and bray

Just looking at those pictures on page 1 and Donabate is a classic example of an obscured info display.

Unless you are on the front 15% of the platform, you cannot see the screen as it is obscured by the pedestrian footbridge.

I think the reason for it is to have it as close to the station building as possible for a power / information feed.
