There was an issue with the track on the open section of the line, repaired at night with considerable disruption to services after 10:30pm. Was paid for at the expense of the contractor

Road sections not effected, confusion arose since the same bonding agent is used in both types of track, initial reports failed to clearly id the location of defects

There may of course be some maintenance work on the closed section

There are suggestions of Citywest-Connolly and Tallaght-The Point operations.

Ah, but you can use different concretes, some of which set rapidly. In any case the slowness is in doing the reinforcement, rail and working around existing services. Until trams are running the concrete only needs a fraction of its strength.

As of today, it looks like about 50-66% of the existing curve has been re-laid including track, but needing paving. The track stubs for where the delta meets the exisitng are in place on this section.
