Dublin Bus is the real problem with passenger numbers, Irish Rail's numbers haven't really changed over the last 3 years

The Sunday Times reported that IE got the loin's share of the 36m with DB getting some and that BE 'was profitable'

The money is for redundancy payments, not daily service

None of the CIE companies are profitable, Bus Eireann returned a small surplus last year.

Incidentally under the companies act, the 2011 accounts are not delayed, Irish Rail's ARD filling date is September 2012 for the 2011 year so nothing underhand

How do you know?

No one knows what the money is for because the DoT won't tell us.

Mark Gleeson 30-07-2012 10:41

Well, if it was for the service wouldn't the NTA get the money?

There is this great thing called FOI....

Mark Gleeson 31-07-2012 14:29

Just mention FOI and suddenly an straight answer

CIE isn't getting the money the NTA is which in turn will give some to Dublin Bus and Irish Rail.

Bus Eireann is getting nothing
